OT - I'm making a cape and need names for the 3Day

My team is making capes to wear to opening and closing ceremonies . . . I'm doing white squares for people who have lost the battle, and different pinks for survivors.  Please send me names and dates we lost our loved ones, or how many years the survivor has passed and I'll gladly wear them.  One of the ladies in Montana is going to sew them together for us . . . she had to back out of the walk, but she is still supporting us.

Thanks everyone!
Chris

Hey Chris,

I lost my mom to breast, lung and liver cancer.  Her name was Rosemari Flora and I lost her May 21, 2001.  I sure do miss my wonderful Mom who was my very best friend.  I will send you her pic too, I haven't forgotten.

Hugs,
Barb

When I turned 40 last year, I decided I was in charge of my body. I wasn't going to let it fall apart. So began my journey. Tomorrow is my surgery consult and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Chris!

Hugs to you, my friend.

Hi Chris,

The cape sounds awsome.  How is your training going??

I'm sorry to say my training has come to a stand still.  My doctor has said I cannot walk the 3 Day . . . so MY plan is that I'm going to walk the first leg each day (3-5 miles) and then shuttle from pit stop to pit stop and do whatever I can in each place to help.  This was very disapointing . . . but I have osteoarthritis in both hips, and he said "do you want hip replacement sooner or later . . ." . . . so I have to bend to his instructions - but I am still going - I've come to far to stay home now.

Chris

Awwww man that it too bad!!  But raising the money and just being there is going to be  great!

I tried to do the Avon 2 day walk in 2006 and I didn't walk the whole thing (because I was a knuckle head and didn't train at all and was wearing new shoes!! but I did walk 26 of the 39 miles)  But it was still so much fun and just raising enough money to be able walk was huge.  I really want to do it again...maybe next year.

I lost my mom Chris, March 29, 2005 to lung cancer, her name was Phyllis Ferrara.  March 15, 1998, my best friend of 35 years lost her battle to a rare form of liver cancer, her name was Emily Sileci, she never saw her 50th birthday. and then my grandma, Josephine Amafiltano on May 10, 1958 to stomach cancer at the age of 59. I can't wait to have my back fixed, I want to do a walk in November with friends.

Thank you for doing this, and you take care and do what the doctor says.

Hugs, Diane
